To Increase Website Traffic . . . Using “Ping”
Blog and Ping worked yesterday and it still works today. Search engines still notice pinging and it will definitely get your site noticed quickly. Which means crawled and relisted. When you add new content to your blog / site make sure you send a friendly ping out to tell the search engines you just added new content again. Search engines love lots of unique content and by pinging out it’s kind of like making a phone call to our search engine buddies and saying “hey look over here, more new content”.
If you add content to you site frequently or maybe even weekly will keep your site popular with your readers and popular with Google and other search engines.
Quick note. Listen up. Do not over ping. It will get you nowhere but banned! I would actually recommend that you remove the automatic pinging feature in your WordPress Blog. Reason being is that every time you click “update” or “publish” your blog automatically sends out ping request from your blog. Well if you do some updating on this page and some on that page you are beginning to ping request to much right away and might get your website banned before it even gets out of the gate. So go into your back orifice under “writing” and delete the sites listed in the feature “update services”. I suggest you use something like Feedshark or Pingomatic manually after your done updating yourself. I would not ping out no more than a couple of times a day.
You know another good idea is to ping a site location after you put your link back to your site on it. So ping the exact page of the site your link is on. It gets it listed by Google quicker which intern means you will get credit for your back link faster. The more back links the better the SEO quality, right? If you are someone who writes articles the same thing applies as well.

To Increase Website Traffic . . . With Blogs (web 2.0 ect)
Let’s talk about a little about this. I highly recommend using wordpress for your website. This can be uploaded to an existing site or you can build your site from scratch with this easy to use traffic dominating publishing platform. Make sonn seriously awesome websites and blogs. Simple to use and search engines love this stuff. Best of all, It’s free to download and totally simple to use.
Figure out what your interested in and choose a theme that matches. WordPress literally has thousands of themes to pick from you can use to make a unique and beautiful web page. Also utilize the plug-ins that help your site sore in the SEO world in whatever keywords or phrases you choose. I also recommend spending a couple bucks on a more advanced theme. You can find genius theme designers out there. I feature a guy on my site that has a good grip on squeeze page design and sales pages. Definitely money well spent.
Once you have your new blog up with some really unique content. (Don’t post the exact same information in your article) it’s time to submit your site to the search engines. I do this manually to the top search engines to make sure of listing. There are lots of companies that will submit your site to hundreds of search engines for you. Still, let us be sure on the money engines. I recommend going directly to Google, Bing, and Yahoo and type in the search. .
“Submit my site” and you’ll see the site you’re looking for on top of search. Go through the steps in submitting your site. Now after submitting your site let us take this one step further and make sure we get listed in our favorite search engines. The way we do this is by verifying we are the owners of this site. By plugging a meta tag (supplied by Google, Yahoo, Bing) in our header makes it possible for these search engines to check our site for the code and then confirm us as the owners. This also shows we are live people and not bots and we will get the site listed quicker. Go to “webmaster tools” in Google to get your code there. Yahoo uses “yahoo site explorer” for their tool and Bing has “Bing toolbox”. Place all your codes in their respective place on your site then go back to the tools sites and click verify. The search engine will immediately verify your site and start the listing process for your site. Yahoo seems to take the longest to crawl your site.
This will definitely give you a SEO advantage. Now what your going to want to do is get pinging figured out. Make sure not to over ping. Your site could be blocked and you will be starting all over.
